MIL-A-8625 TYPE II CLASS 1 AND 2

Anodizing is and electrochemical process that utilizes highly controlled oxidation to change the surface of the aluminum into a stronger more durable material. Advantages of anodizing include increased durability, stable long-lasting colors, low maintenance, and low cost. All of this takes place with a safe health-conscience process at our 1340 Howard St. location

CLASS 1 IS CLEAR
CLASS 2 SPECIFIES A COLOR
COLORS AVAILABLE ARE : RED, GOLD, GREEN, BLUE, AND BLACK

MIL-A-8625F TYPE III CLASS 1 AND 2

Hard Coat Anodizing is similar to type II anodizing, but is produced while at a colder temperature to create a harder, smoother, thicker and more wear resistant surface typically between .002" in thickness(50% impregnation-50% addition).

CLASS 1 IS NATURAL

CLASS 2 SPECIFIES A COLOR

AVAILABLE COLORS ARE: RED, GOLD, GREEN, BLUE, AND BLACK. Colors will be much darker than type II anodizing.
